Katie Allred, Co-Owner and Guide
Before CanyoneeringGear.com, Katie is the co-creator of Pivot Adventure. Katie works to open doors for people who will turn around and open doors for others. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Commercial Recreation Management. Katie has guided for the National Park Service and various wilderness therapy programs. She has volunteered at Slate Canyon Detention Center, BYU Adaptive Aquatics and Courage Reins Equestrian Ranch. She believes in using new environments to inspire change.
Josh Allred, Co-Owner and Guide
Before CanyoneeringGear.com, Josh is the creator and chief architect of Pivot Adventure. Josh started this workshop to make a dent in the industry that has gotten out of hand. He graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Outdoor Recreation Management. With over 15 years of experience working with youth, Josh defines his career by the impact he’s had in teaching others. His other big project to date is his blog with over 2,500 consecutive posts about breaking false limits and leveling up.
