Descending Devices
Canyoneering-specific devices give you the ability to adjust friction while on rappel and lock off the device if you need to stop. Tight rubber gaskets in the carabiner hole help keep your device from slipping out of your hands during wet disconnects. Added features you might need include a single slot that can be used to tighten guided rappels or a stitch plate to clean twists out of the rope for the last person down.
